Bringing Hope to 25 Beautiful Children: The Story of a Caring Orphanage

The orphanage was established in 2016 and has since become a safe haven for vulnerable children. Currently, 25 children, ranging from 8 months to 19 years old, call this orphanage home. The older children attend school, from nursery to secondary levels.

The orphanage is run by a dedicated woman inspired to create a home for stranded and vulnerable children. She started this noble endeavor with her own resources.

During our visit, we spoke with the founder and learned about the lives of some of the children.

Meet Hadassah, a beautiful little girl at the orphanage. Hadassah, an orphan, was found abandoned by the roadside in a cement bag in Nigeria, bleeding severely from her umbilical cord. Rescued by the police, she was brought to the orphanage, where it was discovered she has a club foot. The orphanage has cared for her ever since, and she will turn 4 in August 2024.

Then, there are the 9-month-old twin baby boy and girl. Their mother died shortly after giving birth to them due to complications and kidney problems. Their father is unable to care for them, so they were brought to the orphanage, where they are now being looked after.

These are just two of the many stories of the children at the orphanage.

The founder shared with us that the orphanage is in dire need of food, rent support, staff salaries, and other basic amenities. She has been using her own salary to pay the staff and support the children. They have also been getting support from people.

Our first intervention was providing some food stuff during our recent visit. However, the orphanage still needs more support, and we have promised to share their story and continue supporting them as we have adopted this orphanage.

Their Needs:

  • Yearly Rent

  • Monthly Electricity Bill

  • Monthly Food Supplies

  • Staff Salaries

  • New Furniture for the Children’s Rooms

  • A Large Chest Freezer

We will keep you updated with our next steps concerning this orphanage. If you would like to support in any way, please reach out to us or click on the link to donate.
